Innovation in the processing of AS-Interface cables

The processing of the AS-Interface cable is increasingly difficult for the system mechanic. It is not only the asymmetrical shape that poses a challenge, but also the outer insulation is increasingly made of materials that are difficult to process, such as TPE, PUR or PVC. With the new automatic stripping pliers AS-Interface Pro we have reacted to the change in insulation and sheath materials.

High speed, large data width, low-cost components and last but not least the reduced cabling effort: More and more companies of different industries rely on AS-Interface technology for the automation of their plants.

Conventional wire strippers quickly reach their limits here. Therefore, many users work with side cutters and cutter knives, which can quickly damage the inner conductors. It was important to us to provide users with a tool that can handle all materials used and achieve precise stripping results. We have now achieved this with our new AS-Interface Pro, which we have developed in cooperation with leading cable manufacturers.

The AS-Interface Pro has a corresponding blade position and now enables professional users to work on the outer insulation in a very time-saving and easy way. The blade position is adapted to the trapezoidal shape of the AS-Interface cable and thus protects its conductors from damage. With the AS-Interface Pro any stripping length can be selected, the cable is guided centrally through the pliers handles for this purpose.

The installation of the AS-Interface system components can thus be done very easily and without great effort and the respective system can thus be commissioned safely and on time. Consequently, malfunctions due to damaged inner conductors are excluded.
